What should you expect when going to the doctor?
Choose your medical provider
Use our network for ease, or see any provider of choice with no out-of-network penalties.

Show your Member Card
Present your ShareNet Card, pay your provider fee, and ask the provider to bill ShareNet electronically using the information on the back of the card.

ShareNet Processes Your Bill
ShareNet will receive your bill and process it for discounts and fair market pricing.

You will receive an Explanation of Sharing
Your bill will be processed according to to the guidelines, and you will receive an Explanation of Sharing. This will show you the provider fee, any AUA amount that you owe, and the amount that was shared.

Pay your portion
After you receive the explanation of sharing, your provider will too. You can expect a bill or statement from the provider that matches. Then, simply pay your portion.

Members Share the rest.
You can always look in the member center to see the breakdown of your bills and who from the community shared your need.

Pre-Notification
Members or providers are required to pre-notify ShareNet for any of the following treatments to be eligible for sharing:
- Cancer Treatment.
- Non- Emergency Cardiac Procedures, e.g., heart ablation, angioplasty, and cardiac catheterization, etc.
- Inpatient/outpatient surgery.
- Non-emergency hospital/facility admission.
- Organ/Tissue Transplant Services.
- Maternity.
Providers pre-notify by calling (877) 997-4273.
Pre-notification of medical bills does not guarantee eligibility or sharing. Pre-notification enables ShareNet to inform the member about provider options and potential incentives available.
If a member or their provider does not pre-notify ShareNet the member may be subject to an additional AUA of $1,000 for the illness or event.
